Gasly fastest as rain interrupts session – FP2 Report
Hungarian Grand Prix – Pierre Gasly led Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton in an unrepresentative FP2 before steady rain staggered proceedings. In tricky conditions with varying levels of track grip, Gasly's early soft-tyre effort of 1:17.854 was enough to top the second free practice session before intensifying rain prevented any further slick-tyre running. His best lap was just half-a-tenth of a second faster than team-mate Verstappen, who ran the medium-compound tyre, and just over one tenth of a second faster than Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton, whose best time was on the hard-compound tyre.
