Verstappen: Red Bull ‘quicker than the times show'

German Grand Prix – Max Verstappen believes that Red Bull's pace is closer to Mercedes and Ferrari, but the Dutchman remained unsure about how much they can challenge the front-runners. The results in free practice two suggested that this weekend's race in Hockenheim would be solely contested by Mercedes and Ferrari, with the Red Bull cars marginally at the head of the midfield. Verstappen's deficit to the fastest time of the day – a 1:13.449 from Ferrari's Charles Leclerc – was around six tenths of a second.
