Canadian GP acted as a “wake-up call” for Mercedes - Wolff

Mercedes boss Toto Wolff says the Canadian Grand Prix acted as “something of a wake-up call” for his team, despite claiming its seventh win of the 2019 Formula 1 season. The reigning world champion squad extended its advantage in both world championships after a controversial penalty for Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel handed Lewis Hamilton his fifth victory of the season in Montreal. But Mercedes’ weekend was hampered by a number of issues, including Hamilton making a rare mistake by crashing during Friday practice, as well as both cars suffering hydraulic leaks - the latter of which left the team with serious concerns over whether the Briton’s W10 would be ready in time for the...
