Renault: Confidence back after double points
Bagging their first double points-haul of 2019 in Canada, Cyril Abiteboul says that is the 'objective' Renault set themselves at the start of this season. Daniel Ricciardo qualified an incredible P4 at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve but lost ground to the top three in the grand prix. The Aussie finished the race in sixth place, his best showing in the yellow kit, while his team-mate Nico Hulkenberg was seventh on the day. The points elevated Renault to fifth in the Constructors' Championship, just two points behind McLaren. However, perhaps more importantly, team boss Abiteboul says it was a welcome confidence boost.
