Sainz warns McLaren against ‘huge mistake’ after strong start

Carlos Sainz Jr. has warned it would be a “huge mistake” for McLaren to get overconfident despite stealing a march on its Formula 1 midfield rivals with a strong start to the 2019 season. McLaren sits fourth in the constructors’ championship after the opening six rounds of the season with 30 points, 13 clear of Racing Point in P5, and is the leading midfield team in the standings. Sainz has scored points in each of the last three races, taking his best result of the season so far in Monaco last time out when he finished sixth. While the Spaniard is pleased with the momentum both he and the team have managed to build, he was quick to warn against this turning into overconfidence...
