Nico Hulkenberg to start Spanish Grand Prix from pit lane

Nico Hulkenberg will be forced to start the Spanish Grand Prix from the pit lane due to a breach of parc ferme regulations. Hulkenberg went off track during Q1 and sustained damage to the front wing of his Renault R.S.19, and was able to return to the pit lane for repairs. Renault fitted Hulkenberg’s car with a spare front wing – but it was of a different specification to that which he used during his first run. A report from the Technical Delegate issued on Sunday morning revealed that Renault did not notify the FIA of the change in specification. Hulkenberg was unable to make it through to Q2 and was set to line up from 16th on the grid, but he will now be forced to start...
