Gasly thinks poor qualifying outing "affected the whole race"

Pierre Gasly's Red Bull Racing debut won't be one he'll remember fondly as the Frenchman finished outside of the points in 11th, as he explained his qualifying outing doomed him for the rest of the race. On Saturday, Gasly didn't make it out of Q1, staying in P17. It was a miscalculation from Red Bull, who thought Gasly's lap time would be enough for him to make it through to Q2. The end result, however, made him start 13 places behind teammate Max Verstappen and even behind both Toro Rosso cars.
