Mexico has missed the 2020 F1 deadline

The future of the Mexican Grand Prix is in doubt after race organisers missed the deadline to secure their place on the 2020 calendar. Mexico is one of five countries out of contract at the end of this season. The Autódromo Hermanos Rodriguez's hopes of securing a new deal were dealt a blow last month when the country's president announced that they would not continue to subsidise the event. And although negotiations with Liberty Media continue, the organisers have revealed that they have missed the deadline to book their place on the 2020 calendar.
