Prost advises Mick Schumacher on 2019 move
Formula 1 legend and multiple world champion Alain Prost says Mick Schumacher has shown an impressive ability to handle his famous name after winning European Formula 3 this year, but has advised him against seeking a move to Formula 1 too soon. Schumacher trailed Dan Ticktum for the first portion of the campaign as the Red Bull junior seemed set to take a victory which would lead him to a 2019 race seat with Toro Rosso. However, the German rallied and picked up a quick succession of victories to give him the title win, and Prost would not have predicted such early success for the son of his former colleague.
