Schumacher takes F3 lead as F1 rumours swell

Mick Schumacher took over as leader of European Formula 3 with a fine victory in the wet at the Red Bull Ring on Saturday. Victory in the first of three races at the event in Austria put the German above Red Bull junior driver Dan Ticktum, who could only finish eighth. Support for the son of seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher has swelled in recent weeks as he has picked up remarkable form towards the end of the F3 season. Victory in Spielberg was Schumacher's fourth in a row after a whitewash at the Nurburgring.
