Bottas takes Abu Dhabi GP pole after late Hamilton error

Valtteri Bottas will start the season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix from pole position after beating Mercedes Formula 1 teammate Lewis Hamilton in the final stage of qualifying at the Yas Marina Circuit. Bottas drew first blood in Q3 by beating Hamilton by almost two-tenths of a second with his first flying lap, leaving the four-time champion with work to do if he wanted to capture a fourth pole position at the Yas Marina Circuit.
