Interesting facts of the Mexican Grand Prix

After a few short days following the American GP, the field of the Moving Circus reconvenes in Mexico for the 18th Mexican Grand Prix which is the 18th round of the 2017 Formula One World Championship season. The race has had three periods of operation: 1963-1970; 1986-1992 and the modern derivative which returned to the capital city of Mexico in 2015. The first era ended in 1970 with a spectacular event: 200000 fans gathered at the track to cheer on the home hero Pedro Rodriguez. The race organizers failed to control the huge mass of spectators at the end of the race. The second era ended in 1992 because of the complaints about the air pollution in the huge capital and the decaying track...
