Record number of fans at Belgian Grand Prix
– Formula 1 has confirmed that this year's Belgian Grand Prix drew a record number of fans to Spa-Francorchamps, many in support of Max Verstappen.A crowd of more than 265,000 (an increase of 11.8 per cent on 2016) packed the grandstands and grass banks, marking an outright record for a race at the Ardennes venue.It coincided with an "improved" 'Fan Festival' returning to the paddock, with several new activities, experiences and competitions on offer to spectators."The record number of spectators that came to Spa-Francorchamps is very pleasing and shows that Formula 1 can really energise and grow audiences," said F1 commercial chief Sean Bratches."It was also...
