Vettel got 'too close' to Hamilton at restart
– Sebastian Vettel regretted his tactics as the Belgian Grand Prix restarted, explaining that he initially got "too close" to leader and ultimate winner Lewis Hamilton.Hamilton was leading the race by a small margin over Vettel when the Safety Car came out on lap 30 of 44, after Force India's Esteban Ocon and Sergio Pérez collided.Hamilton took on another set of Soft tyres, as Mercedes had no fresh Ultra Softs, which Vettel fitted and used to his advantage when the race resumed.However, with Vettel chasing Hamilton on the run to Eau Rouge, he was forced to lift slightly to avoid contact, which compromised the tow he was aiming for along the Kemmel straight.Hamilton thus...
