Alonso 'extremely happy' despite deficit
– Fernando Alonso labelled himself as "extremely happy", believing he extracted the maximum from McLaren-Honda's package during qualifying for the Canadian Grand Prix.Alonso, returning to Formula 1 after missing Monaco to compete at the Indianapolis 500, progressed through Q1, before setting the 12th fastest time in the second knockout segment.Alonso reckoned his lap demonstrated he had put in a "very, very good performance" considering the operation's current straight-line speed deficit compared to its rivals."The lap was good, the lap was clean, did the maximum, happy with the performance at the end," he said."Obviously 12th is not ideal position...
