Alonso: Mercedes called me

Fernando Alonso has revealed Mercedes contacted him about driving for them in 2017 after Nico Rosberg quit the world champions.  But the Spaniard has insisted he is "100 per cent committed" to lifting McLaren back up the grid and competing for his third Formula 1 world title. However, Alonso has refused to commit to the team beyond this season and revealed he will make a decision about his future in September.
