FIA signs off on sale of F1 to Liberty Media

 XPB Images As expected, Formula 1's governing body has unanimously approved the sale of the sport to Liberty Media a meeting today of the World Motor Sport Council. The American media company has thus crossed the very last hurdle in a transaction which its shareholders already approved yesterday. The FIA said that its current shareholding in Delta Topco of one percent "will be dragged along in the sale process under the same conditions as CVC and all the other shareholders".
