Bottas penalised for red flag incident

Valtteri Bottas has been given a three-place grid penalty for the Brazilian Grand Prix following a red flag rules breach in Friday practice. The Williams driver overtook Felipe Nasr between Turns 5 and 6 in the second session, which had been stopped after Fernando Alonso's car ground to a halt. After being summoned to see the stewards, it was decided that the Finn could have done more not to overtake his Sauber rival. A statement issued by the FIA said: "The driver of car 77 admitted he overtook car 12 under red flags.
