Alonso frustrated after best lap of career at Suzuka

 XPB Images Fernando Alonso has described his qualifying lap ahead of the Japanese Grand Prix as his "best lap" at Suzuka, which makes dropping out in Q2 "frustrating". With McLaren still struggling for performance on Honda's home circuit, Alonso says it was "a little gift" even to reach the second part of qualifying as Jenson Button dropped out in Q1. However, with his lap only good enough to be 14th quickest, Alonso says it is a shame such a strong lap is not rewarded with a better result.
