Marcus Ericsson picks up penalty points and a grid drop

Italian Grand Prix – Sauber's Marcus Ericsson has picked up points on his licence for impeding Nico Hulkenberg in qualifying.Ericsson qualified within the top ten in qualifying, utilising the Ferrari engine in the back of his Sauber to make it into Q3. However, he had made an error in Q1 when he was alleged to have impeded the Force India of Nico Hulkenberg at Turn 11. He, along with Hulkenberg, was summoned to the stewards after the session to explain the incident. Unhappy with his explanation, the Swedish driver was given a three place grid penalty and hit with two penalty points.
