Toto Wolff explains Nico Rosberg strategy call

Hungarian Grand Prix – Toto Wolff explained why Mercedes decided against putting Nico Rosberg on the option tyre for his final stint of the race. Nico Rosberg briefly challenged Sebastian Vettel for the race victory on Sunday. Having trailed the leading Ferraris throughout the opening half of the race, the safety car on Lap 42 threw a slight spanner in the works for the team's strategists. Having started on the Soft compound Pirellis, Rosberg took on the Mediums on Lap 20 for the middle section of the race; an alternative strategy compared to the two Ferraris and teammate Lewis Hamilton, all of whom took on the Soft compound for the same stint.
