Hulkenberg: We wouldn t be top ten without new car

Though he will start two rows lower for the British Grand Prix in ninth place compared to his fifth in Austria, Nico Hulkenberg says it is only because of the new Force India VJM08 that it is starting inside the top ten. Hulkenberg has been a consistent top ten contender in the visibly-different VJM08 since it was rolled out onto track for the first time in free practice, the Le Mans 24 Hours winner carrying that form to qualifying as he cracked Q3. Going on to qualify in ninth position, though it is lower than where the best Force India has started in the last three races, he insists the high-speed corners of the Silverstone circuit would have seen the old car prove far lower on the grid....
