FIA issues statement following meeting of Strategy Group

The FIA has issued a statement following yesterday's meeting of the Strategy Group. Other than the range of changes announced, both short and long-term, and though many have yet to be approved by the FIA and FOM, the recognition of the need for changes indicates that the powers-that-be are finally coming to terms with the fact the sport has a problem. The statement reads: The Strategy Group met yesterday in Biggin Hill, as planned, to follow up on the package of measures proposed at the last meeting and assess new directions for the future of Formula 1.
