Baku construction work to begin this week
– Construction work for next year's European Grand Prix around the streets of Azerbaijan's capital city, Baku, is set to begin this week.The country will join the Formula 1 calendar next year and the 6km circuit in Baku has been designed by Hermann Tilke, who says that work will commence now that the European Games, which were being held in the city, have finished."We have finished all the design, but we couldn't start construction because of the European Games," Tilke told Sports Business Daily."Of course they didn't want to have a big construction site in the city during the Games.
