Rosberg tops final practice as Hamilton spins in Spain

Nico Rosberg went quickest in the third and final practice session for the Spanish Grand Prix on Saturday indicating that the German could emerge as a prime contender for pole position in qualifying later in the day. While Rosberg – also fastest in first practice - had a relatively smooth outing, his teammate and championship leader Lewis Hamilton had a spin at the halfway mark during the hour-long session, which flat-spotted his front tyres. The incident happened at the long right-hander of Turn 3 where the Briton understeered and went a bit wide on the slippery Astroturf.
