Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya extends contract to 2019

The Spanish Grand Prix will continue to be held at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya until at least 2019. On Friday the circuit announced that they have reached an agreement with Bernie Ecclestone to extend their contract for another three years after 2016. 'We are extremely proud to announce this renewal in such a special year, marking the 25th anniversary of Formula One Grand Prix being hosted uninterruptedly at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya,' said Vicenç Aguilera, president of Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
