Electrical issue caused Verstappen retirement

Red Bull/Getty Images Renault has confirmed that an electrical issue caused Toro Rosso rookie Max Verstappen to retire for a third time from four races this season at the Bahrain Grand Prix. Technical problems caused the Dutch youngster to retire in Australia and China and he was once again forced out of proceedings as his STR10 slowed, albeit when he was running outside of the top 10. "It hasn’t been a positive day," he said. "It was a tough race. It looks like an electrical issue made us end our race before time.
