Kaltenborn: 'The situation was intense'

Sauber team principal, Monisha Kaltenborn broke her silence over the contractual legal dispute between Sauber and Giedo van der Garde that had the potential to derail Sauber’s entire season.  After a breakthrough was made between both parties, van der Garde relinquished his rights to race to concentrate on constructive talks between himself and Sauber management. Sauber chairman, Peter Sauber made an appearance in the paddock for the first time today, which may have contributed in some way to the sharp deviation in proceedings.
