Alonso to sit out Australian Grand Prix
– McLaren has confirmed that Fernando Alonso will sit out the Australian Grand Prix in the wake of his testing crash at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, with test driver Kevin Magnussen replacing him.Alonso spent three nights in hospital after crashing on the final day of the second pre-season test, with doctors advising him to miss the third and final group gathering.While doctors are happy that Alonso, who has been recovering at home, has made good progress, they are wary of him suffering another concussion."Fernando's doctors have recommended to him that, following the concussion he sustained in a testing accident at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on February 22nd, for...
