Schumacher rejected Lotus offer

Michael Schumacher turned down the opportunity to race for Lotus in the final two grands prix of this season. Lotus were left in bind when Kimi Raikkonen's manager announced that the Finn would not contest the United States and Brazilian GPs to instead undergo surgery on an old back injury. Lotus approached potential 2014 signing Nico Hulkenberg to fill in for Raikkonen, however, the German opted against an early move. And he's not the only German who said no to Lotus as Schumacher's manager Sabine Kehm has revealed that an approach was made.
