Alonso not perturbed by Monaco result

Fernando Alonso is holding no long-term concerns after finishing the Monaco Grand Prix in seventh position, the Ferrari driver stating that although there is plenty of work required to improve, he can "look ahead with confidence" to the next round in Canada. Although the Spaniard lost ground to ongoing championship leader Sebastian Vettel, who finished second on the streets of the principality, he was able to close in on Lotus rival Kimi Räikkönen following the Finn's costly clash with McLaren's Sergio Pérez.
