Lowe to complete Mercedes move in June

Paddy Lowe will officially join the Mercedes Formula 1 team next month, with McLaren permitting the acclaimed engineer to terminate his contract early. Instead of remaining at Woking until the end of the season, it has been revealed that the 51-year-old is to join the Silver Arrows in a senior management position on 3 June. Lowe, who most recently held the role of Technical Director at McLaren, will take on the title of Executive Director with new team Mercedes, working alongside brand boss Toto Wolff, who oversees all motorsport activities, and Team Principal Ross Brawn.
