Pirelli changes hard tyre after criticism

Pirelli has adapted its hard compound in response to the recent criticism surrounding their tyres for the 2013 season. The Italian supplier met with representatives from all 11 teams on Tuesday to discuss the matter. Whilst the majority were in favour of keeping the compounds as they are, Pirelli has taken the decision to make the hard compound last longer and degrade slower. Motorsport director Paul Hembery says the changes will allow the teams to "run a wider range of strategies."
