Ferrari extends Gene test contract

Marc Gene will continue his test role with Scuderia Ferrari for at least another year, after signing an extension to his existing contract that has seen him working at Maranello since 2005."I'm honoured that I can continue working for Ferrari," said Gene. "My goal is clear, I want to help Ferrari and Fernando Alonso to have a car capable of winning the title."Gene competed in F1 with Minardi for two seasons in 1999 and 2000, before taking a position as Williams' test driver which saw him fill in for a concussed Ralf Schumacher at the 2003 Italian Grand Prix, and then in the 2004 French and British when Schumacher suffered a back injury.Despite his long association with...
