Mark Gillan has left Williams Sutton Images Enlarge Chief operations engineer Mark Gillan has left Williams after just one year at the team. Gillan was one of the key members of a new technical team put in place last year, which has overseen a significant improvement in performance and returned Williams to the top step of the podium at the Spanish Grand Prix this year. A team spokeswoman confirmed to N that he had left the team to spend more time with his family, but said there were no further details on how the team intends to replace Gillan.
