Hamilton: Some 'balance limitations' from last year present in W14
Lewis Hamilton was encouraged overall by Mercedes' pre-season test in Bahrain, but noted that the team's new W14 had retained some of the "balance limitations" of its troubled predecessor. From the outset, Hamilton and teammate George Russell were pleased to report that no significant bouncing had been felt on the Brackley squad's new contender. However, a hydraulics failure suffered by Russell on the second day of testing, as well as some mid-corner balance issues, prompted the team to dig in overnight to solve the problems, which it succeeded in doing.
