Red Bull confirm Ricciardo as third driver

Red Bull announced today, confirming all that has been reported, that former McLaren Formula 1 driver Daniel Ricciardo will join them as a third driver. The Australian driver left Red Bull back in 2018 and joined Renault (Now Alpine) for two years, then jumped ship again to McLaren for 2021 and 2022. Despite winning the 2021 Italian Grand Prix with McLaren, Ricciardo's performance in general was underwhelming, never able to match Lando Norris. McLaren announced earlier this year that they cut the Aussie' contract short and hired Oscar Piastri to replace him for 2023. Ricciardo raced his final race in Papaya at the 2022 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix last Sunday. Oracle Red Bull Racing Statement...
