Verstappen allowed to keep pole; reprimand for Red Bull driver

Max Verstappen can keep his pole position, has been the verdict of the stewards in Japan. After qualifying, it was considered whether the Red Bull Racing driver should receive a penalty for obstructing Lando Norris in Q3, but in the end, they dismissed it with a reprimand. Article continues under ad Lando Norris had felt a penalty for the Dutchman was justified, so the stewards partially went along with that view. Verstappen will receive a warning, but will not be put back on the grid. For Verstappen, it means his fifth pole position of the season.
