Masi ends public silence following FIA exit

Former F1 race director Michael Masi, who departed the FIA this week, has spoken publicly for the first time since last year's massive controversy at F1's season finale in Abu Dhabi. On Tuesday, motorsport's governing day announced Masi's permanent departure from the institution, news that was rumored to be in the works for several months. On Wednesday, Formula 1's former chief steward, who has joined his family back to his homeland, issued a statement to Australian website Speedcafe.com.
