Will Mercedes be in the mix with Red Bull and Ferrari?

Today's 73rd edition of the British Grand Prix could well be a three-team race for the top step of the podium, with Ferrari and Red Bull annexing the first two rows, and the Mercedes duo there or thereabouts on race pace. After years of Mercedes dominance, Formula 1 sorely needed a shake-up of the pecking order at the sharp end of the grid, and indeed F1 fans' wishes were granted as Ferrari and Red Bull produced winning cars for their drivers but the World Champions were left wanting.
