Alfa Romeo: Team can take heart by the improved mileage

Alfa Romeo's second day of Formula 1 pre-season testing at Barcelona marked an improvement in mileage after only 32 laps on day one. Day 2 did not start well for the team's new driver Valtteri Bottas who had to settle for 21 laps of running only, and ended his session 15th fastest on a 1:22.288. Bottas said in the team's media brief: ' The team ended the day with a good number of laps, and this has to be the main takeaway from today. 'We were able to do some consistent running in the afternoon, which bodes well for when I’ll be back in the cockpit tomorrow.
