Verstappen's Honda, Alonso's Renault to be sold via auction

Formula 1 champions Max Verstappen and Fernando Alonso are both set to auction cars, with Verstappen’s proceeds going to charity. The pair have three F1 championships between them, and Alonso's 2004 Renault F1 car will be up for auction on 2 February. The blue and yellow R24, which helped Alonso to a fourth-placed championship finish that season, will still sport its original steering wheel and will have the updated chassis which the Spaniard used during the final three rounds of the year. The starting price is as yet unknown for the car that led Alonso to four podium finishes 17 years ago, while Jarno Trulli took victory at the Monaco Grand Prix – his only win in F1 -with the car,...
