Sainz disappointed with team: 'We couldn't do it'

Carlos Sainz had an unfortunate race during the United States Grand Prix. The Spaniard was unable to keep the two McLaren drivers behind him during the first few laps and was unable to fully repair the damage. Sainz worked hard to overtake Daniel Ricciardo, but was unable to do so. When Ferrari tried to outsmart him with an undercut, the Italian team was unable to make a faultless pit stop. As a result, Sainz once again found himself behind Ricciardo. "With the second pit stop we tried an undercut on Ricciardo, but for the third consecutive time we had a problem, a slow pit stop," Sainz told Motorsport.com.
