Double title-winning 2020 cost Mercedes £324m

Mercedes dominated the 2020 campaign, winning both the Drivers' and Constructors' titles, and it cost them £324.9 million. Financial information from company accounts revealed the continued scale of Mercedes' investment in its Formula 1 outfit, but when crunching the figures it showed that the team actually is in good financial shape. The 2020 season was shortened to just 17 rounds due to the pandemic, with the first race taking place in Austria in July rather than March as scheduled since the Australian Grand Prix was cancelled.
