Abiteboul joins Alpine F1 supplier Mecachrome as advisor

Former Renault F1 boss Cyril Abiteboul who left the rebranded Alpine outfit at the start of the year has a foot back on the grid following his nomination as an advisor to Mecachrome. The French company, a global leader in precision mechanics for the automotive and aircraft industries, is a long-standing contracted supplier to Renault and Alpine for which it produces major engine components and helps assemble Renault's V6 power units. Mecachrome has collaborated for more than 20 years with Renault, but has also leveraged its cutting-edge technology and industry expertise with a variety of automotive companies, including Ferrari, Stelia, Porsche and Rolls Royce.
