The driver's championship standings after the Portuguese Grand Prix

With the dominant victory of Lewis Hamilton, little has changed at the top of the driver classification in the championship. The Brit has increased his lead over Max Verstappen by 7 points. Despite appearing to be on the right track at the start of the race, the Dutchman was unable to get past the two Mercedes cars. After the restart he was too fast for Hamilton, but the Brit corrected quickly and took his place back. Bottas was forced to give up later in the race and is forced to settle with third.
