FIA joins forces with IOC to launch inaugural virtual series
GPFans Staff Monday 26 April 2021 17:53 The FIA is to join forces with the International Olympic Committee [IOC] by participating in the inaugural Olympic Virtual Series [OVS]. As part of its build-up to this year's Olympic Games in Japan, the OVS will become the first Olympic-licensed event for physical and non-physical virtual sports.
According to the FIA, it is being introduced "to inspire and mobilise virtual sport, esports and gaming enthusiasts all around the world, while encouraging the development of physical and non-physical forms of sports".
