Mercedes conquers pole position in Formula E

The qualifying for the race in Rome is over. Nyck de Vries and Robin Frijns finished in the top 10. Belgian Stoffel van Doorne took pole position and will therefore start from the front this afternoon. The whole morning was chaotic. The first free practice ended with a heavy crash. Oliver Turvey crashed into the back of Jean Eric Vergne and Jake Dennis. The second practice session was stopped soon after the start due to repair works. Many drivers were unable to complete many laps. All the more reason for Vergne to recover in qualifying and take P5.
