Alfa Romeo spends development tokens to obtain Mercedes-nose
In anticipation of the next racing season, Alfa Romeo has already issued a number of development tokens to bring in a Mercedes-designed nose, this in an attempt to improve the aerodynamics around the front wing, as Motorsport.com reports. The team, which last year managed to cash in an eighth place in the manufacturer's standings, has now invested its money in the development of a narrower nose for the C39. Technical director Luca Furbatto is allowed to redesign the nose of the Alfa Romeo on the basis of recent Mercedes specifications.
