Due to Honda's departure from Formula 1 after 2021, Red Bull is currently busy looking for a solution. At the moment it seems preferable to continue to maintain the Honda engine in-house, but a freeze on the engines will have to be put in place for that. Development stop Red Bull wants to agree with the other teams that the engines will not be developed from 2022 until the new engine rules in 2026.
